Prince Boribhadi built the Blue Room next to the Pink Room with the intention to use it for the Reception Room for his wife Mom Chao Prasongsom’s guests. At present, the room houses the portrait of King Rama 8 who kindly gave the portrait as a present to the Bank of Thailand on March 30, 1946.
