The Paribatra Hall in the South Wing features the biography of Prince Paribatra Sukhumbhan with a video presentation which portrays the talented Prince as “Prince Administrator” through beautiful visuals and music. Known for his musical skills, the musical side of his life is told, based on the memoir of his daughter Princess Inthurattana, through a Magic Vision presentation and a puppet orchestra depicting a full-scale traditional Thai orchestra performing Prince Paribatra’s compositions. Noteworthy viewings include displays of his personal items bearing his insignia for instance chinaware, crystal ware, tweezers (giveaway souvenir), Paribatra plane replica, three-stringed fiddle, hand-written music notes and a life-sized model of Price Paribatra wearing a navy fleet admiral uniform. Visitors to the exhibition will also enjoy the architectural model of the Prasebun Palace in Bundung, Indonesia and the display of the Prince’s final attire worn on the date of his passing. The attire, collected by his personal guard as a revered memento, was dedicated to the Bank of Thailand Museum by the guard’s descendants.
