Payment Systems Oversight
Oversight of payment systems and electronic payment service providers is the Bank of Thailand responsibility, intended to promote the efficiency and safety of the systems in compliance with a high level of robustness by international standards.
 

 
 


Oversight of payment systems is one of significant responsibilities of Bank of Thailand (BOT). The main objectives are to oversee payment systems and payment service providers to ensure safety and efficiency of payment systems which will lead to monetary and financial stabilities. Bank of Thailand’s oversight is in line with international standards.

Bank of Thailand oversees e-Money business and other electronic payment services in order to strengthen the credibility and acceptance of electronic transactions, prevent all risks that might happen to public interests, achieve higher standard for Thai payment services as well as gain recognition at international level.
