The Bank of Thailand (BOT) and the Sub-Committee on National Payment Cooperation (SNPC), which consists of commercial banks and Thailand Post Co., Ltd., together with government and private sectors, have defined barcode standard used in various payment documents such as electricity, water, and telephone bills.  The barcode comprises of data used for making payments at government and private sectors and banks’ bill payment services, which it is printed with Code 128 with the length of no more 62 digits and the height of no less than 1 cm.

  • Reduce workload and costs of printing barcodes
  • Support payments with new technology such as making payments via ATM
