Exchange RateData collected are exchange rate between Thai Baht against 35 other currencies and the data represent the rates quoted for immediate delivery (i.e., in the spot market).
Interest RateThe data covers domestic money market interest rates, namely the interbank rates, Bangkok Interbank offered rate (BIBOR), Thai Baht Implied Interest Rate, End-of-day Liquidity Rate, deposit rates and lending rates of financial institutions. External interest rates such as US interest rates, LIBORs, and SIBORs are also compiled.
BOT Liquidity ManagementIn conducting open market operations, the Bank undertakes transactions in financial markets in order to affect the aggregate level of reserves balances available in the banking system, and therefore affects the short-term market interest rates. OMOs are the most actively used instrument to maintain the policy rate, while at the same time ensuring that there is sufficient liquidity in the banking system to meet banks' demand for reserves and settlement balances.
Capital MarketThe data covers SET & External stock market indexes, new issuances of securities, new issuance of private debt securities by business sector, new private securities issue in domestic classified by types of business(ISIC) and the outstanding of securities.
Foreign Exchange TransactionThe data covers commercial banks' purchase and sales of foreign exchange with resident customers and non-resident financial institutions.
Debt SecuritiesThe Bank of Thailand publishes statistics on sale, redemption, and outstanding amount of debt securities for which the Bank of Thailand serves as a registrar. This is to provide information for the study, analysis and research related to debt securities.
