Since August 1996, the Bank of Thailand has joined the International Monetary Fund's Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). The standard requires member countries to disseminate 5 categories of economic data; namely, data on real sector, financial sector, fiscal sector, external sector as well as data on population.

In 2003, the Bank of Thailand has joined the International Monetary Fund's assessment on the Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes (ROSC). The datasets in this assessment cover 4 categories of economic data; namely, data on national accounts, government finance, monetary and balance of payments statistics.
