BOT Digital Finance Conference 2022

​Ms. Siritida Panomwon Na Ayudhya, Assistant Governor, Payment Systems Policy and Financial Technology Group, Bank of Thailand (BOT) announced that as a part of BOT’s 80th anniversary celebration, “Bangkok FinTech Fair”, BOT’s annual flagship event since 2018, will now be known as “BOT Digital Finance Conference 2022” with more extensive coverage on digital finance. The event will be held during 27th – 29th October 2022 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at BOT Learning Center. 

BOT Digital Finance Conference 2022 will be organized under the main theme “Collaborate. Innovate. Inspire.” and will bring in Thai and international experts from both public and private sectors to share experiences and ideas on laying the foundation for sustainable development of Thailand’s digital financial sector. Other interesting discussions will include, for example, adoption of innovative financial technology to unlock tangible opportunities for Thailand at all levels, from corporate to financial sector and overall economy, and updates on key initiatives and policy implementations, such as development of payment systems under the new financial sector landscape of Thailand, cross-border payment linkages, and retail Central Bank Digital Currency (Retail CBDC). Cyber threats and ways to mitigate them will also be focused on to raise more awareness among participants.

In addition to the main stage, on tech talk stage, there will be in-depth discussions on promising developments and technologies, such as AI, Blockchain, and Web3.0, as well as showcases of BOT Policy Hackathon and Retail CBDC Hackathon winners, with an opportunity for the participants to discuss and share their ideas on the issues. Career talks and inspirational sessions on careers in the field of financial technology, as well as exhibition by over 50 leading companies, ranging from financial and payment service providers to fintech startups, IT and consulting firms, will also be an integral part of the event.
