The Bank of Thailand (BOT) recognizes the importance of access to financial services, and therefore designated the promotion of financial access for various population segments as one of the key policies in the Financial Sector Master Plan (FSMP) , and Financial Landscape Consultation Paper. To that end, the BOT has continued to conduct a biennial Household Financial Access Survey in incollaboration with the National Statistical Office of Thailand (NSO), where its findings have been used to monitor the level of access to financial services, and in the formulation of relevant policies.
