Mrs. Budsakorn Teerapunyachai is the Assistant Governor of the Payment Infrastructure and Services Group, responsible for overseeing payment infrastructure development, settlement services, bond services, production and management of banknotes to achieve a higher level of integration between digital payment and cash in readiness for digital transformation and keep pace with rapidly changing economic conditions.

 

She has extensive experience in banking risk supervision and examination with respect to business, payment and information technology. She played a major role in enabling the transition to risk-based supervision, pushing forward PromptPay to accomplish digital payment transformation in Thailand, developing IT risk management and cyber resilience frameworks, fostering cybersecurity collaboration both domestically and internationally, and setting up TB-CERT to strengthen the management of IT risk and cyber risk in the Thai financial sector. 

 

She was awarded the BOT scholarship to study MSc in Financial Risk Management at the ICMA Center, University of Reading, UK as well as received BOT-APEC collaboration scholarship of 6-month secondment with Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority, the Australia Financial Regulator. Ahead of that, she finished MBA from Wayne State University and BSc in Accountancy from Thammasat University.
