Chayawadee

Ms. Chayawadee Chai-anant is currently the Assistant Governor of the Corporate Relations Group at the Bank of Thailand (BOT). She oversees corporate communication strategies, external relations, international cooperation, and the operations of BOT’s three regional offices. She also acts as the spokesperson for the BOT.

 

Prior to her current role, Ms. Chayawadee has extensive experiences in central banking, including roles in macroeconomic and monetary policy, exchange rate policy and management, as well as international economics and relations. She also played a significant role in corporate strategy development, contributing to the shaping of the BOT's medium-term strategic direction and vision. 

 

Beyond her work at the BOT, Ms. Chayawadee served as a Senior Economic Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister and as a Senior Researcher at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Representative Office for Asia and the Pacific in Hong Kong, where she published numerous research papers and policy recommendations. Additionally, she was also a visiting faculty at the Economics Department in Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University.

 

Ms. Chayawadee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University, a Master’s degree in Applied Economics, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
