Mr. Chiranawat Tanyacharoen currently serves as Assistant Governor, Legal Group, Bank of Thailand. He is responsible for overseeing legal affairs, particularly providing legal advice, interpreting and analyzing legal issues, as well as enforcing laws relevant to the Bank of Thailand’s missions.
In addition to his extensive experience at the Bank of Thailand in various departments—including the Legal Department, Financial Institution Development Fund, Financial Institutions Supervision Department, and Financial Institutions Strategy Department—Mr. Chiranawat has also served as Director of the Legal Department and Executive Vice President at the Deposit Protection Agency. Moreover, he has been a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, Khon Kaen University, and Ramkhamhaeng University.
Mr. Chiranawat holds a Bachelor of Laws (Second Class Honors), a Master of Laws (Criminal Law), and a Doctor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University. He also earned an LL.M. in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, under the sponsorship of the Bank of Thailand.
