Ms. Mathinee Subhaswadikul, Assistant Governor for Internal Audit Group and Secretary to the Bank of Thailand's Audit Committee, is dedicated to enhancing internal audit effectiveness to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls, enabling the Bank of Thailand to achieve its mission effectively. She emphasizes a systematic, forward-looking, and comprehensive (end-to-end) audit approach, leveraging technology and advanced data analytics, developing auditor expertise, and proactively communicating to address emerging challenges and mitigate risks. Her leadership has resulted in the Bank of Thailand receiving the highest rating for public sector internal audit quality assurance from the Comptroller General's Department.
Ms. Mathinee’s extensive experience in key roles at the Bank of Thailand, including Senior Director of Regulatory Policy Department, Financial Institution Business Supervision Department, Director of Reserve Management, and Financial Risk Management Department, has provided her with deep expertise that she applies to internal audit, enabling her to provide practical and impactful risk mitigation recommendations.
Ms. Mathinee holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Chulalongkorn University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii (East-West Center scholarship). This academic background has been instrumental in her work on various policy initiatives at the Bank of Thailand and provides a strong foundation for her strategic and systematic internal audit approach.
