Dr. Piti Disyatat, Deputy Governor for Financial Stability of the Bank of Thailand, attended the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2026 in Hainan Province, People's Republic of China. The Deputy Governor participated in a panel discussion titled “Enhancing Regional Coordination to Promote Financial Stability” where he shared his views on the challenges of a highly complex and interconnected global financial landscape. He emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in cross-border payment systems, alongside the management of emerging risks such as cyber threats and digital scams. He also highlighted that such regional coordination is essential to drive Safe and Inclusive Digital Finance (SIDF), ensuring that financial systems remain accessible, resilient, and secure for all.
