The Bank of Thailand (BOT), together with the World Economic Forum (WEF), co-hosted a workshop on Safe and Inclusive Digital Finance (SIDF) at the Bank of Thailand Learning Centre. The workshop brought together participants from both the public and private sectors.

Ms. Chayawadee Chai-anant, Assistant Governor, Corporate Relations Group, BOT, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting that while digital finance is expanding access to financial services in broader and more inclusive ways, it is also introducing new risks, including fraud and scams, cyber threats, and unequal access. Addressing these challenges requires close collaboration across all stakeholders. The remarks also outlined the SIDF framework, which is built on three pillars: tackling fraud, scams, and digital crimes; strengthening cyber resilience; and fostering an enabling ecosystem that supports fair and inclusive access.

The panel discussions and breakout sessions featured exchanges of views among BOT executives and representatives from the public and private sectors, covering the role of technology in financial services, the concept of shared responsibility in ensuring safety, and the role of innovation in advancing SIDF.
