The launch of the  “Bangkok Blueprint” Regional Experiences and Policy Lessons for Fraud-Resilient Financial Services

14 Oct 2026

Another important milestone in international cooperation with the launch of the “Bangkok Blueprint” a policy framework designed to address digital fraud, including fraud, scams, and digital crimes, while promoting safe, trusted, and inclusive digital financial services.

The Blueprint has been jointly developed by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, in partnership with the Bank of Thailand. The contributions and feedback from the Bank of Thailand, developed as a “policy compass” that countries can adapt and apply to their own contexts.

The framework focuses on three key areas:

  • A comprehensive approach through coordinated action and shared responsibility across all relevant stakeholders
  • Strengthening international cooperation to address cross-border digital fraud and financial crimes

Sharing knowledge and good practices to support the development of standards and measures for sustainable protection against digital financial threats

The Bangkok Blueprint reflects Thailand’s collaboration with international organizations to help build a digital financial system that is safe, trusted, and accessible to all.
