The Bank of Thailand attends the 31st EMEAP Governors’ Meeting in Singapore

On 23 July 2026, Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BOT) attended the 31st Executives’ Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks (EMEAP) Governors' Meeting in Singapore, hosted by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The meeting brought together the governors of the other 10-member central banks in the region: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, and Singapore.
Governors discussed and exchanged views on the regional economic and financial developments amid ongoing uncertainty, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the economy and financial system. The meeting also exchanged perspectives on strengthening cooperation to address digital fraud and scams, which have emerged alongside rapid technological advancement.
On this occasion, the BOT and the MAS also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation on cybersecurity and the prevention of digital financial fraud.
