Financial service providers under the Bank of Thailand’s supervision that collect customer data must establish mechanisms to enable customers to exercise their share to transfer their data conveniently, securely, and without undue restrictions through automated means. The provisions include the following areas:

- Scope of Financial Service Providers Required to Have a Mechanism that Enables Customers to Exercise Their Right to Share Their Data upon Customer Request (Data Provider)

- Scope of Service Providers that can Receive Customer Data (Data Consumers)

- Conditions and Fees Principles Related to Data Sharing

- Oversight of Consumer Protection and Data Sharing to Ensure Compliance with Common Standards and Security

- Supervision Process to Ensure Service Providers' Compliance

To ensure that financial service providers under the Bank of Thailand’s supervision establish mechanisms that enable customers to exercise their right to share their data conveniently, securely, without undue restrictions, and in a practical manner. This aims to enable customers to utilize their data to receive improved financial services, particularly in access to credit and personalized financial management.
