The Bond Investor Registration (BIR) is a cooperation between the BOT and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), whereby investors must be registered before investing in Thai bonds. This is so that the BOT will have comprehensive, correct, and readily available data with regards to investment in Thai bond market to ensure proper market surveillance and timely policy implementation.
